About Project
In Chile, on 2015, four TV Studios inside a private television network’s brand-new building have been equipped with IFF Advanced Rigging Lighting Suspensions and QUARTZCOLOR lighting fixtures. In each studio has been installed manual pantographs and hoists, both trackable and fixed. The hoists are controlled by IFF controls. The result is an extremely versatile solution that allows quick and easy set changes.
The Suspension System that was decided to intall is the following:
(200) ACTA 30 STUDIO LIFT SELF-CLIMBING TRACKABLE HOIST – Mounted on I-Beam, 10 m travel, bottom pipe. Each hoist is equipped with (8) circuits (2x32A and 6x16A) and (4) DMX channels, (1) Cat5 Ethernet cable, audio and video IN-OUT circuits. The trackable configuration with motorized IFF ortho trolley allows vertical, horizontal and pan movement. The versatility and ease of installation and use make the IFF self-climbing hoists the ideal solution for high lighting grids and frequent set changes in television studios that require a quick and easy change of lighting sets;
(400) IFF DUO MANUAL PANTOGRAPH – 6 m total drop, with up to 40 kg maximum load. Complete with electric cable, sockets and DMX connectors.
Regarding the Control system, it has been installed:
- IFF TSM EVOLUTION TOUCH CONTROL PANEL - it is a Digital Suspension Control System with graphical user interface to operate motorized IFF Pantographs, Hoists and Carriages with infinite channels;
- ASM SWITCHBOARD MOTOR PROTECTION with 68 channels - Breaker panel with E-stop circuit for IFF
- WIRELESS HANDHELD REMOTE CONTROL with hoist digital selection that is able to operate motorized IFF Pantographs and Hoists. With the TSM Pro, the remote control has additional features.
For the lighting fixtures, those studios were supplied with:
(70) BAMBINO FRESNEL 650W MO - this product has been specifically developed for use on Location and in Studios. Designed to be compact and rugged, the BAMBINO Fresnel spotlights combine handiness and ease of use with the advantages of the high-quality features of the STUDIO Fresnel range;
(150) STUDIO FRESNEL 1KW PO - This range has been developed specifically for Film and TV applications where there is a need for high-quality and balanced output producing flat and very even field. The unique features of the range are designed to meet the most demanding lighting requirements of cinematographers, directors of photography, gaffers, and lighting directors;
(180) STUDIO FRESNEL 2KW PO - This range has been developed specifically for Film and TV applications where there is a need for high-quality and balanced output producing flat and very even field. The unique features of the range are designed to meet the most demanding lighting requirements of cinematographers, directors of photography, gaffers, and lighting directors;
(20) STUDIO FRESNEL 5KW PO - This range has been developed specifically for Film and TV applications where there is a need for high-quality and balanced output producing flat and very even field. The unique features of the range are designed to meet the most demanding lighting requirements of cinematographers, directors of photography, gaffers, and lighting directors.
